Linen bedding — care guide

Our pure linen bedding is lightly woven and soft washed for a gentle feel. Follow these care instructions to enjoy it for years to come.

Airing

Fold back your duvet each morning and air your bedding regularly. We recommend washing your bedding no more than once a week.

Natural lint

Flax contains both long and short fibres. Most short fibres are removed during production, but a little lint may remain and come loose during the first uses.

For the first few washes, wash the bedding separately from other materials to keep lint off other laundry. Turn duvet covers and pillowcases inside out so lint does not collect in the corners. There is no need to wash the bedding before first use.

Washing and drying

We recommend Ecover Wool & Silk Delicate Laundry Detergent, an enzyme-free detergent for delicate fabrics.

  • Machine wash on a gentle cycle: 30°C recommended, 40°C maximum. Spin at no more than 800 rpm. Wash with similar colours.

  • Use an enzyme-free detergent suitable for delicate, coloured fabrics. Do not bleach or use aggressive cleaning agents.

  • Air-dry. For a softer feel, tumble dry only briefly on low to finish drying. Tumble drying shortens the lifespan of the linen.

  • Do not iron.

  • Do not dry clean.
